York Gin - 70cl - 42.5% ABV

The recipe uses the London dry method - using distilled spirit with all the botanicals involved in the distillation in York's beautiful copper still, Ebor named after the Roman name for York, Eboracum. Nothing is added after distillation except water.

York Gin has nine botanicals - juniper, coriander, cinnamon, orris root, angelica, cardamom, black pepper, lemon peel and grains of paradise.

All of these would have been available on the spice route in the 18th century.

While they have used traditional methods and traditional ingredients, York Gin is all about getting the perfect balance of flavours. They wanted York Gin to be smooth enough to drink neat. And after countless efforts, they found the recipe.

York Gin was awarded a Silver Medal in the Spirits Business Gin Masters 2018, and was shortlisted for three awards at the Gin Awards 2018.
