Bertha's Revenge Gin - 70cl - 42% ABV

Bertha’s Revenge is a unique endeavour of a gin that takes its base spirit from whey and its name from a legendary cow – Big Bertha. Milk made gin is certainly a rarity, but the base spirit adds a richness to the overall spirit and pairs particularly well with the spicy elements.

The whey base brings a sweet acidity to the nose, followed by a cardamom and pepper piquancy. This carries through to the taste; the gin is sweet at the fore – the liquorice and sweet woodruff make themselves known – with a creamy feel. Juniper rises up and is quickly pushed aside by cardamom, cloves and cinnamon, which dominate towards the end and linger long after the first sip.
