About This Gin
Inspired by our home on Falls Farm, this recipe has been crafted to embody the bounty of the British countryside, with fresh raspberry and blackberry juice in every bottle, and hand-picked elderflower from our farm hedgerows.
This gin tells the story of our countryside heritage and farming traditions over centuries, and, for many holds memories of foraging on country walks.
Beautiful thick hedgerows, sprouting low to the ground, provide a home for some of our best loved British wildlife, forage for pollinators, and corridors connecting wildlife populations.
Due to the intensification of farming over the last 100 years and a lack of awareness, we have seen a steep decline in hedgerows across the country - a vital habitat for wildlife. The hard work of British farmers and conservation groups has helped to slow this decline, and the future for our hedgerows is starting to look brighter. More work is needed to restore and manage existing hedgerows in order to safeguard the estimated 47 species under threat.
At Warner’s we rely on the generosity of nature: we grow botanicals on our farm, and forage and harvest botanicals from our surrounding countryside. Launching in partnership with People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES), we are working hard to improve our own local landscape through active conservation.
For over 40 years, PTES has improved the outlook of endangered species across the world. Their team are driven by passion, but grounded in science – not dissimilar to the innovative work of the Warner’s team. They invest in research and find the best ways to protect endangered species in their natural habitats, then put what works into action, creating vibrant wildlife havens.
Warner’s Raspberry Gin is a platform for us to raise awareness and protect our countryside and the creatures living within it. With PTES, we will work tirelessly to safeguard the 130 conservation priority species that rely on hedgerows for food and shelter.
