Sipsmith London Dry Gin & Light Tonic Can - 25cl - 7.3% ABV

£2.90

Sipsmith was the first copper pot distillery to open in London in nearly 200 years, and can comfortably be considered amongst the leaders of the modern gin revolution. Before they cranked open the doors back in 2009, licensing laws in the UK were so unbearably restrictive that the idea of a small batch, craft gin was nothing short of a pipe dream. Still, after a fair few tussles with HMRC, they were able to bring Craft Gin to the UK, and what followed is the whole mad world you see before you.

They paved the way for so many, and as well as releasing their flagship gin, have worked tirelessly to create an abundance of weird and wonderful twists on the Gin genre, testing them all out on loyal subscribers of their Sipsmith Sipping Society service.

Sipsmith Dry Gin is understandably popular and quite widely recognised as a spirit that England can be proud of. It's served on trains, in airports, and in exclusive bars across the world. It's dry, spiced and full of character, with its 10-strong botanical line-up posing no threat to Gin fans. If you love Gin, you'll love it. Still, that doesn't mean it falls back on tradition entirely, with the team manipulating the botanicals for all they're worth to get the most out of them. The liquorice is sweet and gooey, the Seville orange bright and zesty. There's huge juniper but with that comes huge depth. It's a great serve, and a perfect gift for Gin fans.
