Made in Germany by a trio of Africa-obsessed friends, Elephant Gin is an award-winning premium craft gin with a gorgeous charity heart beating beneath it.

Co-founders Henry Palmer and Robin and Tessa Gerlach were inspired, whilst adventuring through Africa, to create Elephant Gin after falling in love with the country's wildlife. They sought to create a product that not only tasted of Africa, but that would help conservation trusts. As such, 15% of all profits from this product go to Big Life Foundation and Space for Elephants, while 15% of profits from the minis go to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Basically, by buying this gin you're a hero. Well done.

Elephant Gin, made 600 bottles at a time, was created with a focus on artisanal production methods, and with a great deal of work put into the design side too, it's a product that looks as good as it tastes.

And it tastes good! Aromatic, dry pine swipes at the nose, with sweet florals and twangy herbal notes following swiftly behind. It's dangerously smooth and sippable for 45% ABV, too, so gentle was its distilling. With huge spice upfront and a dry, warming juniper in the middle, this is a well balanced gin that takes you on a real journey. Every sip tells you it was made with a G&T in mind, and while this is certainly great in many cocktails (the Bramble springs to mind above all others), it's definitely worth a first date with a tonic.

To serve: Indian tonic and an apple wedge. Apple is one of the 14 botanicals nestled into the bosom of this gin, and bringing it to the fore really helps to freshen up the palate.
