Sipsmith Orange & Cacao Gin - 50cl - 40% ABV

Sipsmith was the first copper pot distillery to open in London in nearly 200 years, and can comfortably be considered amongst the leaders of the modern gin revolution. Before they cranked open the doors back in 2009, licensing laws in the UK were so unbearably restrictive that the idea of a small batch, craft gin was nothing short of a pipe dream. Still, after a fair few tussles with HMRC, they were able to bring Craft Gin to the UK, and what followed is the whole mad world you see before you.

They paved the way for so many, and as well as releasing their flagship gin, have worked tirelessly to create an abundance of weird and wonderful twists on the Gin genre, testing them all out on loyal subscribers of their Sipsmith Sipping Society service.

Now obviously, with cacao and orange in the title, this is something of an extreme flavour, but somehow it ended up being one of the best surprises we ever had. Yes, orange and cacao reign, but it’s the most incredibly well made, slippery smooth spirit that you will not be able to resist coming back for more and more of. Orange blossoms lighten the load, while the juniper has been dialled up to 11, meaning that while yes, this is undoubtedly a bit silly, it also smacks of gin. Complex and divine, we’re pretty sure that once you tried this, you’ll want to keep it to hand forever.
